T.E.C.A.
S.r.l. from 1993 has worked on new developments in Southern Italy, particularly
technological systems, especially for energy saving and alternative energy
sources. Here, the company has done feasibility studies and designs, directed
and realized several systems for transforming oil-fuelled power stations
into methane gas, throughout south and central Italy. The company has
taken part in several work groups designing systems to produce electricity
directly from household waste and/or biogas. As of March 1997, the company
widened its customer base to include the railway, tram and light urban
rail sectors.
T.E.C.A.’s services include the installation, running and maintenance of technological systems, electric and automated control panels, bench wiring and on-vehicle assembly
In the industrial plant sector, T.E.C.A. has built, for the Ansaldo Trasporti Vehicle Test Centre, an electrical conversion substation for the alternator set on rail wagons. The company has acquired, in the rail sector, excellent electrical and electronic skills which enable it to take on jobs for all types of rolling stock, for assistance and maintenance, under warranty or not, as well as specific systems such as the Vacma DIS surveillance system (black box) or the SCMT (control of train direction). T.E.C.A. carries out assistance and maintenance on most of Italy’s rolling stock (Commuter trains, subways, trams, etc.) and abroad (trams and mini-metro). As part of Ansaldo Trasporti’s STREAM-TRIESTE project (electric magnetic transport system) TECA was contracted by ALCATEL to supply the “Posto concentratore CSD” sub-system of the MAC diagnostic system.
For Ansaldobreda, T.E.C.A. got Copenhagen’s automatic underground trains numbers 13 and 34 up and running. First for Ansaldo Trasporti , then for the TREVI consortium, they have maintained the ETR500 fleet. They have also assembled, cabled, installed the software and inspected the DIS and Vacma systems.
